I found some tiny day old baby mice in the grass at work today. The poor things were still translucent and pink and were about to die of sunburn. Dave G and I rescued them and I made a little nest for them in a plastic container. everyone at work was less than impressed that we were rescueing mice. Dave justified our actions by maintaining that it is entirely possible that they are baby antechinuses, which are native. Whatever they are, it is highly unlikely that they will survive the night.
