day 143

Todays photo is demonstrating the power of photoshop. I am mildy reluctant to put it up because half of it is quite unattractive. Never ever trust what magazines show. ever.

day 142

I find this photo immensely satisfying. The poor pale leg to which mine is being compared belongs to Jocelyn.

day 141

No matter how I much I try and convince myself, burnt toffee is just NOT the same as regular toffee. I made one batch and fully burnt it. So I made a new and improved version: Hot pink super delicious rock hard toffee.

day 140

I think I would pay just to have as much fun in the kitchen as I do with Brian and Beau. Things get crazy when the customers don't come in.

day 139

whoopsie daisy. I was so busy doing nothing all day I almost forgot to take a picture.

day 137

I have been on an Ellen DeGeneres bender for the past two days. I quite like that woman, her audience is a bit annoying though.

day 136

My hair is getting so long. and its almost blonde. It makes me happy.

day 135

I was just saying adios to the faded remains of my muck-up day tanline, when an innocent walk along the sunny beach in the same top sent the red and white stripes on my shoulders and chest roaring back to life again. I am now thoroughly convinced that my upper torso has effectively tattooed itself into two different skin tones for the rest of my life. Why does it always happen on the last day of the holiday? Its like a memento, just in case I accidentally to forget the vacation. A week later when I go to get dressed,  the burning sensation of the brastrap rubbing my upper  arm will remind me of the wonderful time I had in Ocean grove, and the stupidity of thinking ‘she’ll be right’ in relation to sunscreen.

day 134

The river at ocean grove is disgusting. Flooding upstream has washed all kinds of organic matter into it, which has started decomposing and leached the oxygen from the water. As a result, the water is a reddish brown colour and there are dozens of dead fish along the banks. Not only that but the ocean is coffee coloured and the beach is covered in vast, mesmerising piles of discoloured foam. It takes a concerted effort to remember that the foam is part of what killed the fish, and it would, in fact, be quite unsanitary to frolic through the weightless puffs.

day 133

Building sandcastles with your mum. That is what the beach is all about isn’t it?

day 132

I bought a new camera! It is the most amazing fantastic macro-shooting camera in the history of the universe! I have to regularly stop myself from hyperventilating because I am so excited about this camera!!  AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

day 131

A leisurely bike ride to get a coffee this morning turned into an alarming burke and wills type scenario. This is me waiting for mum at what I decided was a good meeting point. Mum tells me that while this photo was being taken she was waiting 400m down the track at what she had decided was a good meeting point.

day 130

How many P –platers does it take to back a trailer? One.
How many fully licenced drivers who haven’t mastered their lefts and rights does it take to hinder a p plater backing a trailer? Six.
Couple that with an automatic car that stalls every two minutes and backing becomes nearly impossible.

day 129

AHHHH!!!! After I got my ATAR score I was incredibly disappointed. I had completely given up hope of getting into Monash. Today was the day that first rounds offers came out, I got ARTS AT MONASH!!! oh yeah! I am so freakin happy right now.

day 128

I hung out with Andy today. He is the flyest guy I know. He also happens to be dating the coolest girl in the world, known as Sabrina. If anyone has a spare couple of thousand of dollars id love to have it so we can fly Sabrina over here to be with me and Andy.
I ate the ten year old lolly. It tasted surprisingly good..

day 127

I love my life! This morning I went to my cupboard and there was a random pair of high heels in there that were my size. I have no idea who they are from, but I am pretty stoked. They match this outfit perfectly.

day 126

Cecelia on three and a half hours sleep + Microsoft excel tutoring= recipe for disaster.
Tafe FINALLY finished but then I had to attempt to make my way home through windy barrierless roads with a film of water over them and minature landslides beside them, all whilst peering through misty rain and a thick fog. It was tough.

day 125

Expectation of thursday night: Clean up the house ready to leave on friday morning
Reality of thursday night: Kings cup followed by heavy drinking.
Im not gonna lie, it got pretty wild.

day 124

We are studying group dynamics at TAFE which is really interesting because we watch them be played out at home. Right now we are in the forming stage, but we have to watch out: apparently storming comes next.
word for the day: Munt. we have been using it in pretty much every way possible.

day 123

This is going to be a LOOONNG week. Today was our second day of TAFE but it feels like a week already. Dave took this photo and I didnt actually know it was being taken at the time. from left to right: Julian, Hugh, Me, Stacy, Alicia and Renae.

day 122

Its ok. we are all buddies now. The hyperventilating has stopped. our first day of TAFE was mind numbingly boring. this is the only thing I retained from the day: "Who said you had to be responsible to be a parent? you just have to be careless once in awhile."

day 121

HOLY CRAP! I am in a house full of people i dont know. *insert hyperventilating here*
its like the first day of high school, but with alcohol. probably like year 7 these days.

Saturday, January 8, 2011

day 120

I am Badass and bringing back the backwards cap. Actually, Im not sure at what point I decided to put a photo of myself wearing a bikini on the internet. maybe when I become prime minister it will come back to haunt me.  ..although, If Tony Abbott is anything to go by, Australians dont really care what their politicians wear. or dont wear.

Friday, January 7, 2011

day 119

It was my last day of work today. On Monday I start TAFE and then my traineeship. Brian offered me an oyster at the start of my shift tonight. When I ate it he was so impressed he rang the bell to summon the waitresses and tell them about it. oysters, for the record, taste like Dolphin snot. I think im going to miss working at the pub.

day 118

Mum and I were cleaning out my room today when I found a jar of rock candy. I got them for my eighth birthday. That day I decided that I would keep them until I was 18 and eat one ten years from now (then). 18 seemed so OLD. I'll tell you, things can change in ten years. somewhere between 8 and 18 I became unwilling to eat candy that expired in 2002- I think it was when I was about 14ish. Anyway, If I do bite the bullet and consume one, Ill post it. One thing that hasn't changed in ten years though, is my love for Richo..

day 117

Who doesnt love raspberrying a window and seeing what you look like?

day 116

I saw Jordy today! I haven't seen or spoken to her in a year. Its great to have friendships that don't change after that long.

Monday, January 3, 2011

day 115

Work. Party. Work. Party. Last night I went to Shane's 18th. It was pretty wild! I had a great DnM with two of my friends and ended up going to sleep at 5am. Then I woke up and drove to work in the morning. Thank goodness it was quiet at work but I am still dead as anything. I am literally dozing off whilst writing this..

day 114

One month ago I was the sister with the short hair. now I am the sister with the long hair. Em cut her curls off then JZ cut her dreads off.
