day 209

I went to a women of the valley dinner tonight. It was good but for some reason I am in an unbelievably foul mood. That may have something to do with the fact that dad is currently prequoting the matrix as he watches it- and getting lines wrong! I think bed is the only sensible step forward from here.

day 208

Ok. I have decided to incorporate into this blog the 30 day photo challenge that has been going around facebook. But here is the deal, I am not going to necessarily dedicate every day to it- there will be gaps.

3- We got to choose our middle names: Mine is Michael.
4- I am fairly naïve and it’s not something I want to get rid of.

6- I can do a lot of cool tricks on the trampoline.
7- I want to work with disengaged teenaged boys when I am older
8- I sleep with a teddy
9- I have a doppelganger- this has been confirmed by numerous people and I really want to meet her. Her name is Stacey.

day 207

This is so cheesy, but come on, who doesn't love a bit of cheese every now and again? Except Faith. Hate to be lactose intolerant.

day 205

So I was pretty excited about being able to backflip. so excited, in fact, that I wanted to take pictures in the dark of me flipping to see if the flash would pick it up. that brings us to 10.30pm last night, me on the tramp, Joss wielding the camera. In the 5 minutes following this scenario I learnt a lot of things:
1, dont do crazy stuff on the trampoline at night
2, always concentrate on landing a tricky flip
3, jumping high builds a LOT of momentum for when things go wrong
4, It hurts like crazy when you slam your chin and neck into a steel bar
5, you are too soccer crazy if your first thought is "oh crap I've broken my jaw so I wont be able to play soccer tomorrow."
6, when your hand is inexplicably wet from holding your jaw, it probably means you are bleeding
7, when you feel a steady dripping sensation, it probably means you are bleeding A LOT.
8, It transpired that i am quite afraid of the prospect of chin stitches.
9, small scratches can become big arse bruises overnight
10, dont trust Jocelyn to get photos of all of this because the silly girl will be too worried with your wellbeing.
Injury register: fairly deep split in my chin, crazy sore jaw, super long superficial scratch down my arm, huge pretty bruise on the other arm and a neck that feel like someone clocked it with a crow bar. But I can still backflip!

day 204

I CAN DO A BACKFLIP!! I have finally conquered the only trick that has eluded me all of these years. I turns out i only needed two things: supervision and motivation.
Supervision: Mum standing next to the trampoline encouraging and helping me work up to it.
Motivation: Having a boy get on the trampoline and pull off the only trick I couldnt do. My competitivness got the best of me.
